Bran Moieciu Area

The Bran Moieciu Area is a rural area made up of the Bran and Moieciu (and Fundata) communes and the villages that belong to them. The area is located in the Transylvania region, 30 km south-west of the city of Brasov, on the road to Campulung.


Recently, rural turism in this area has developed significantly, due to the beauty of the landscape and the closeness to Bran Castle and Rasnov Citadel. Poiana Brasov is not that far, either.

Bran

Bran (also known as Törzburg in German and Törcsvár in Hungarian) is a commune in Brasov County.

Moieciu

Moieciu (sometimes incorrectly spelled Moeciu, also known as Mösch in German) is a commune in Brasov County. It includes six villages: Moieciu de Sus, Cheia, Moieciu de Jos, Drumul Carului, Pestera, and Magura.
