The Council Square is a point of interest in Sibiu, Romania.
The Council Square of Sibiu (Hermannstädter Ratsturm, in German) is located between The Large Square (Piata Mare) and The Small Square (Piata Mica). It was built in the 13th century to serve as a gate for the second fortification belt of the city. In the beginning, the roof had the shape of a pyramid, then it underwent various changes. The latest change was made in 1826, when four small towers were added. 1, Large Square CategoriesHistory, MonumentsPictures |
