Coltea Hospital
The Coltea Hospital was built in 1704 by sword bearer Mihai Cantacuzino. He wanted to build a hospital for the poor. His statue, carved in Carrara marble by sculptor Karl Storck in 1869, is displayed in front of the hospital.
Near the Hospital there is the Coltea Chuch which, together with the Hospital, was part of a larger architectural complex that included three chapels and Coltea Tower at the entrance. CategoriesHistory, Monuments, Religion |
