National Art Museum

The National Arts Museum is a main museum in Bucharest.


Find out more about the artistic and historic past of Romania by visiting this museum. It has three arts galleries: European Art Gallery, Ancient Romanian Art Gallery and Modern Romanian Art Gallery.

Useful Information

• Address: Royal Palace, 49-53 Calea Victoriei.
• Opening hours: Wednesdays-Sundays - 11.00-19.00 (May-September); 10.00-18.00 (October-April).
• Book three days earlier for guided tours (available in English and French).
• The Ancient Romanian Art Gallery provides an audioguide.
• Important: No admission tax is charged each Wednesday of the month.

• July 9th – October 10th, 2010 – at the groundfloor of the National Gallery, the National Arts Museum with Kunsthistorisches Museum Viena and Schloss Ambras hosts the Exhibition DRACULA – Voivode and Vampire.
