Ploiesti is a city and the capital of Prahova County, in Romania. The distance between Ploiesti and Bucharest is 60 kms and the surface of the city is approximately 60 sq. kms.
Ploiesti is near the famous vineyards Dealu Mare – Valea Calugareasca. From Ploiesti you have direct access to Prahova Valley, an important touristic area of Romania. Ploiesti City is a main transportation center. It is crossed by roads connecting Bucharest and regions Transylvania and Moldova. It is also known as the Capital of Black Gold (oil). Four refineries and other related industrial activities thrive here. |
