Romania. It lies in the center-south of
Romania, between Southern Carpathians (also known as the Transylvanian Alps) and the Danube, in the north-western part of region
Muntenia. Pitesti City has a population of 166,893 inhabitants according to the latest information released by the National Institute of Statistics as of January 1st, 2009.
