Dobrogea is a historic region of
Romania between the river Danube and the Black Sea. In ancient times, the region was known as Dacia or Minor Scitia. It contains the administrative areas Tulcea and
Constanta.
Dobrogea is bounded at the North by the
Danube Delta, a 2,200 square mile wild-life reserve. It is designated by UNESCO as a "Reservation of the Biosphere".
