Costinesti is a resort on the Romanian Black Sea Coast and is well-known for its sparkling, youthful atmosphere. Costinesti is acknowledged as the resort of the young, as many young people spend their summer holidays here.

Costinesti lies in the south-eastern part of Romania, 31 km south of Constanta. It is bordered in the north by the Tuzla county, by the national road DN 39 in the west, and the Black Sea in the east.

Costinesti beach is about 800 metres long and its width ranges from 10 to 50 metres, which makes it unique on the Romanian seaside. The beach allows aerosol therapy, sports and yoga practice, heliotherapy and thalassotherapy as the sun's warmth bathes the seaside for about 10-12 hours a day.

Costinesti lake has a surface of 7 hectares and offers the possibility for trips by boat or by hydrobycicle. This lake is special in that it is not supplied with water from the underground.

Points of attraction in Costinesti are the well-known Evanghelia and Obelisc wrecks.
  • The Evanghelia wreck reached the Romanian shore in the 60s and belonged to the Greek businessman Aristotel Onassis. Tourists can reach the wreck by boat or by swimming.
Costinesti resort is also known for the Ring and Tineretului nightclubs, the concerts on the beach and the shows at the Summer Theatre.
