Braila is a city in the south-east of Romania and is the capital of the county. Braila lies on the left border of river Danube and is located at approximately 20 kms from Galati.
According to the latest communication released by the National Institute of Statistics, the population of Braila was 211,884 inhabitants in 2009. You can get to Braila on national road DN2B (express national road) connecting Buzau and Galati. National road DN21 (European road E577) connects Slobozia with Braila. European road E87 crosses the city and connects it to Tulcea and Constanta. |
