It's easy to get from the airport to
Bucharest. There are two airports:
Henry Coanda International Airport (Otopeni) and
Aurel Vlaicu International Airport (Baneasa).
You have multiple means of transportation to get you to the city center or your hotel:
- 783 Express – is a bus line connecting the two airports with the city center (Piata Unirii) in about 45 minutes. (M-F 5:30-20:00, every 15 min, 20:00-23:00 every 30 min; S-S and holidays every 30 min). Purchase the magnetic card for 7 RON (2-way) at the card desk in front of the Arrivals Terminal.
- 780 Express – is a bus line connecting the airport to the Northern Railway Station (Gara de Nord). From there you can take the subway directly to Piata Victoriei (M-S 06:00 – 20:30). The card can be purchased at the Arrivals Terminal card desk.
- Taxi – many tourists prefer the convenience, but make sure you check the fee first. It’s written on the car’s door.
- Rent-a-car – there are many rental companies at the Arrival Terminals. You can also book online prior to your arrival.
